Make sure that it is turned off and not plugged in.Again, don’t spray anything right onto the screen. If there are still marks that won’t come off, you can also put a solution of 70% isopropyl alcohol (IPA) on a cloth and wipe the lines away with that.The cloth should only be damp, not drenched, and you should keep water out of any of the holes. Make sure you don’t scrub the screen, as this could damage it, and only put water on the cloth, never on the screen itself. If the smudges are still there, wet another soft microfiber cloth with water and wipe the screen softly from side to side.Paper towels can even scratch the surface, so make sure you only use microfiber. Next, use a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth to wipe away any dust that you can see. For safety, make sure it’s not plugged into the wall either. First, turn off and unplug your MacBook.
